Fibre Fest

9th - 11th March 2018

Dornoch Social Club and West Church Hall

This year we celebrate our 9th festival of fibre and woollen crafts, with Masterclasses in weaving and botanical printing.    For the first time we have also expanded into Dornoch Cathedral where throughout the weekend (after mid-day on Sunday) there is a Quilt Display by "Off the Wall" , Scottish Textile Artists

The weekend starts with an Opening Talk on Friday evening, followed by a soup and cheese supper in the Social Club.    For your crafting supplies you will find a variety of traders in the West Church Hall and the Social Club, and if you need to declutter your stash, you will be able to do so in the Social Club on Saturday 10th March 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please complete our Stash Buster Form'.

Masterclasses and Learning Techniques must be booked in advance but the drop-in sessions are free to all.

Our competition is again sponsored by the Royal Dornoch Golf Club and the theme is a handcrafted soft toy, not to exceed 18" in any dimension.   Entries must be handed in to the West Church Hall by 11 a.m. on Saturday 10th March.   We look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Fibre Fest is run by a small group of enthusiastic volunteers and to help finance the running costs we are again holding a raffle.   The first prize in the raffle will be a fully-equipped crafting project bag, with all the useful items you need.

We hope you enjoy your visit to Fibre Fest, and on behalf of the traders, tutors and demonstrators, thank you all for your support.
