Fibre Fest 2026 - 14th - 15th March
Planning for the 2026 Dornoch FibreFest is now almost complete. On offer will be a variety of workshops to suit a range of ages and abilities.
The courses will include - Botanical Printing - Lace Knitting - Fair Isle Knitting - Weaving - Sewing with retro machines - Patchwork Cushion making - Papercut Lampshade making - Crochet - Mending - Wet Felting and Dry felting. Further details to follow and booking will open on the 1st of January 2026
We hope that our range of classes will inspire and delight in equal measure.
Gilly Brindle will be our opening talk speaker on Friday 13th at 7.00pm sharing her experiences as an artist in a variety of media.
The two Trading Halls, with free entry, will offer wide range of textiles and accessories with some exciting new arrivals. However the Stashbuster stall is taking a sabbatical this year but hopes to be back soon.
The Historylinks Museum in Dornoch will mount an exhibition of golf costumes through the ages. A memory trip for some.
The Highland Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers will demonstrate and share their skills in the Hub building over the weekend. Their members are always happy to share their knowledge and invite people to try their hand.
